Hello, lovely! As we welcome August, it’s time to embrace the radiant energy of Lakshmi, the Indian Goddess of Wealth and Abundance. Lakshmi, often depicted with four arms and sitting gracefully on a pink lotus flower, brings a touch of opulence and wisdom to our lives this month.
Who is Lakshmi?
Lakshmi is one of my absolute favourite Goddesses to work with. She is revered across India and Sri Lanka for her connection to wealth and abundance. Although traditionally not a Moon Goddess (as that title belonged to the Gods), Lakshmi is celebrated during the festival of Diwali, which revolves around the moon. So, she definitely deserves a spot in our lunar celebrations!
Lakshmi epitomises opulence, not just in terms of gold, jewels, and material possessions, but more importantly, in her profound wisdom. Her four arms signify the four principles of Hinduism: dharma (duty), artha (pursuing wealth), kama (feeling love), and moksha (self-realisation).
Lakshmi’s abundance is holistic, encompassing physical, emotional, mental, relational, financial, spiritual, and esoteric realms. She is deeply connected to her spirituality and her spirit guide team, which she relies on daily. Her gift to you this month is the ability to trust deeply that you are always supported.
